Davies Family Christmas Party

Santa came to our family Christmas party again this year, Jack wasn't so sure about sitting on this guys lap. Of course Luke knew it was Grandpa, he caught on when Santa said to the kids to come sit on "Grandpa's" lap.
Both the boys got a new football from Santa

Jack enjoyed being Santa's helper with me. Next to Santa here is my cousin's little girl, Josie. She wouldn't sit on Santa's lap but her daddy bribed her to go stand by him so they could get a picture of her and Santa.

Luke's 7th Birthday

Luke chose to have his birthday party at FatCats again this year. He invited 4 kids from his class at school from left: Sam, Jack, Aiden, Luke, Spencer, & Korbin.
Of course Bakugan is the hot thing right now, so that was our theme

We reserved a lane for the boys but they only made it through 4 frames before they started getting a little wild. So we did cake and gifts then moved our party to the arcade.

We gave all the kids these masks of "Dan" from Bakugan. Jack thinks he is really Dan when he wears it. I can't believe I have a 7 year old kid, it seems so much older than 6. How time flies when you are having fun.

Smokey

I had to put this in, Smokey sleeps in her big pillow when I am in the office or on the computer. I haven't seen her sleep like this before, it was just funny to see.

Gingerbread Cookies

Growing up my grandma would make us grand kids gingerbread cookies when we were over for a visit. She would cut them all out to be little men and gave us frosting in all the colors we would need. Then we would decorate our little men from their pants to the buttons on their shirts.
My sister Jessica and her son Kaden came up to our house early this month and we tried to carry out the tradition.
The boys loved picking out the shapes and cutting out their own little cookies
We made 5 colors for the boys to use, and lots of sprinkles. Jack liked liking the knife more than spreading the frosting on the cookies, oh well.
Proud of their little men

The finished cookies; my sister got really into decorating the last of the cookies giving them little details like PJ's and shoes. Notice the large cookie to the right, I think my sister was done making the cookies; she said that she didn't have enough dough to cut any more shapes so she just flattened what was left. Needless to say, this bad boy took a few minutes longer to cook than the rest.

Evening with Grandpa

We have been fortunate enough to see Grandpa John while he is here on business. Here he is when he came the 28th of November, reading the boys the Night Before Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2009

We had Thanksgiving at my mom's house this year. Our small party grew to about 20 people in the end. Here is Dad and Jack getting the fryer ready for the Turkey

Here's my handsome hubby, posing for the camera

The boys love playing the Wii with uncle Joe (even though they call him Jake)

Mom and Dad had their pad poured while they where on their cruise last month so it was nice to have somewhere to play basketball and let the kids ride their bikes. It's really rural out where they live if your not familiar with Huntsville.

Here is my Dad in the white shirt with his brothers, Tim in the red and Bob in the green; waiting for the bird to be done. I didn't get any pictures of the feast or the guests but we had a great time and played Scene It:Seinfeld before the night was through.

Jack's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Jack's birthday while John and Sara where visiting, he chose this dinosaur cake. Before digging into the goodies we all played Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Penny, Penny, Who's Got the Penny.

Deep breath...

and they are out!

Jack loved opening all his gifts, he got his Buzz Lightyear, our old one was broken. He also got a giant Mr. Potato Head from Grandma and Grandpa V along with some quiet books and Luke gave him a little fire station.
